Goals:
  • The main goal of our project is to support and foster the development and the exchange of good practices in force across Europe concerning information, consultation and participation structures settled within undertakings,focusing especially on social cooperatives and cooperatives at all.
  • We will observe and analyse possibilities of social undertakings and cooperatives in developing innovative and efficient structures for information, consultation and participation of workers within this undertakings. The focus will be done on comparison between social enterprises and cooperatives from Eastern and Central Europe and from Western Europe.
  • information and innovative good practices will be changed and analysed on european level, will serve as a base for delivery to representatives of employees and employers training methods and concrete recomendations for development of participation in undertakings.
 
3 pillars of analysis:
  • 1 – TheExclusion of handicapped people: how the involvement (information, consultation and participation) of disadvantaged workers in social co-operatives is realised.
  • 2 – TheMigrant issue, if and how positive actions and good practices are present.
  • 3 – The long-term unemployment, if and how positive actions and good practices are present to foster the inclusion of unemployed people.
 
Expected results:
  • To contribute to the development of good conditions for the settlement of structures within undertakings for the information, consultation and participation of employees in enterprises of different european countries.
  • To bring useful tools and reflections on this topic based on the model of social enterprises and co-operatives for internal mechanisms of information and consultation of employees.
  • Exchange of experiences and study of mutual solutions with cooperative sector from one hand and trade union sector from the other.
 
Intermediary results:
  • The exchange of information and experiences and gathering of best practices from older and recent member states and their comparative analysis;
  • The provision of short but targeted information and training modules;
  • Joint transnational and multipartnerial analysis of the key challenges facing information, consultation and participation instruments within social enterprises and co-operatives;
  • The production of a European guide containing some best practices, guidelines and recommendations for the development of structures for information and consultation within undertakings, on the model of social enterprises and co-operatives, with respect to special characteristics of people involved in establishing them, like long term unemployed;
  • Creation of the European and transnational networking of actors of the social economy and co-operative movement in Europe about the issue of participation of employees within enterprises.

Activites already undertaken:

  • Decision about panel of Steering Commitee (represented by partners from cooperative organisations in the project);
  • Preparation and dispatch of informations of the project to external institutions;
  • Preparation of kick-off meeting of the project;
 
Kick-off meeting objectives:
  • One-day seminar to start the project, exchange of information of the project and it’s actions, clarifying roles of each organisations, tasks and calendar of planned actions;
  • Acceptance of detailed schedule and role of each partner in realisation of preparatory phase of the project.
